How to work out the age for 1963
Subtract 1963 from the current year: 2026 − 1963 = 63. That is the age a person reaches on their birthday in 2026. Until the birthday comes, take one off, which gives 62. For example, someone born on December 1, 1963 is 62 today, because their 2026 birthday is still to come.
The same rule works for any year: the age on the birthday is the year minus 1963. In a spreadsheet, put the date of birth in A1 and use =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"y") for the age in full years.
