Islamic dates
Islamic dates, including Ramadan, Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Adha, Shab-e-Barat and 12 Rabi ul Awwal, are expected dates for Pakistan: we take the Umm al-Qura calendar and add one day, which is the usual pattern. The official date is announced by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after the moon is sighted, and it is often one day later. Please follow the official announcement.
Prayer, sehri and iftar times
Prayer times are calculated from the position of the sun using the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (18° for Fajr and Isha) and the Hanafi method for Asr. They may differ by a few minutes from your local mosque, which may also add a precaution. For worship, follow your local mosque’s timetable.
Public holidays and events
Holidays listed on the site are not an official list of public holidays. The Government of Pakistan announces official holidays each year. Exam and sports dates are taken from official announcements and may change; always check with the organizer.
