How to work out the age for 2010

Subtract 2010 from the current year: 2026 − 2010 = 16. That is the age a person reaches on their birthday in 2026. Until the birthday comes, take one off, which gives 15. For example, someone born on December 1, 2010 is 15 today, because their 2026 birthday is still to come.

The same rule works for any year: the age on the birthday is the year minus 2010. In a spreadsheet, put the date of birth in A1 and use =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"y") for the age in full years.
