How economy rate is calculated
Economy = runs conceded ÷ overs bowled. 38 runs in 8.3 overs (51 balls, 8.5 overs) gives 38 ÷ 8.5 = 4.47. Wides and no-balls count against the bowler; byes and leg byes don’t.
