How to work out the age for 2019
Subtract 2019 from the current year: 2026 − 2019 = 7. That is the age a person reaches on their birthday in 2026. Until the birthday comes, take one off, which gives 6. For example, someone born on December 1, 2019 is 6 today, because their 2026 birthday is still to come.
The same rule works for any year: the age on the birthday is the year minus 2019. In a spreadsheet, put the date of birth in A1 and use =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"y") for the age in full years.
