How it works
Cartons are placed in rows, and turned for part of the layer when that fits more. Layers stack until the height limit, which includes the pallet itself (about 14.4 cm for a Euro pallet).
For stability, real loads often alternate the pattern between layers. This doesn't change the count.
Frequently asked questions
How high can a pallet be?
Many warehouses and trucks allow 150 to 180 cm including the pallet. For air freight the limit is usually lower; ask your forwarder.
How much weight can a pallet take?
A good wooden Euro pallet takes about 1,000 to 1,500 kg when moved. Check the pallet supplier's rating.
