How it works
A regular slotted box (RSC) is one piece of board: a glue flap and four panels side by side (front, side, back, side), with flaps above and below that meet in the middle. Panels are made slightly bigger than the inside size to allow for the board thickness at the folds.
The SVG is drawn at real size in millimetres, so it opens at the right scale in Illustrator, Inkscape or CorelDRAW. Check the template with your box maker; every plant has its own allowances.
Frequently asked questions
What is a dieline?
A dieline is the flat outline of a package with cut and fold lines. Designers place artwork on it and box makers use it to make the cutting die.
Can I print the template at full size?
Yes. Print it at 100% (no "fit to page"). Large boxes need a plotter or several sheets.
