How your age is worked out
Your age is the number of full years since your date of birth, then the full months since your last birthday, then the days left over. Someone born on April 12, 1996 is 30 years, 6 months and 1 days old today. The result also shows your age in weeks and days, and how long until your next birthday.
If you were born on February 29, your birthday comes round properly only in leap years. The calculator counts your age as increasing on March 1 in other years, which is how age is usually counted for official purposes.

In Pakistan you can apply for a CNIC and vote from 18, and many jobs and admissions set age limits on a cut-off date; enter that date as “today” in the date duration calculator to check your age on it. See also the birthday countdown and your life in weeks.
